Marymount Hospice: LED Upgrade

The project involved replacing existing lighting systems with energy-efficient LED fixtures while ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations and maintaining strict safety and hygiene standards.

OCH Group Installed and maintained electrical systems in highly controlled environments where contamination, temperature, humidity, and air quality must be tightly regulated. Special attention is given to grounding, power reliability, and backup systems, as even minor disruptions can affect sensitive processes. Testing and commissioning ensure that all systems operate safely without compromising the cleanroom environment, maintaining both electrical performance and cleanliness standards.

Electrical Installation works carried out for the construction of a 34m2 single storey ESB Networks substation and customer metering room ancillary to the existing facility.

OCH Electrical Group provided new power supplies from existing distribution boards, along with UPS and generator-backed circuits for critical equipment. Medical-grade earthing and equipotential bonding are installed to ensure patient and staff safety.

Lighting systems include energy-efficient LED general lighting, task lighting, and emergency lighting in line with healthcare standards. Containment systems such as cable trays and conduits are installed, along with all associated power and data cabling for medical equipment and IT systems.

Additional works include fire alarm integration, small power installations, and coordination with mechanical and medical equipment suppliers. All systems are tested, commissioned, and certified, with full documentation provided upon completion.

The works included providing a reliable and safe electrical installation for the Cath Lab. This involved installing dedicated power supplies, UPS-backed systems, and emergency power to support critical medical equipment. Medical-grade earthing and equipotential bonding are provided to ensure patient safety.


The installation was fully tested and commissioned, with all documentation and certifications provided at handover.
